what do you think? My initial instinct was that it's a little pointless because you can only tune one string at a time anyway. On the other hand you could instantly see if all 6 strings were in tune and if not which one(s) were not. It could save some time.

Beat me to it , Didnt see there was 2 vids lol.
Edit: Just watched the last vid... It senses how much lights in the surrounding enviroment and adjusts the LED strength accordingly?
Surely this will be �150~ plus... |

I'm leery of anything that claims to do string-isolation from standard pickups.. if they can't do it for synth systems, how can they do it in a tuner??  |

Thats what makes me doubt too. Should any other company come with anything like this, I would say it's impossible, but considering it's T.C. electronics... you know, all their stuff is perfect. Anyway, I'm really curious to know how the thing works with different kinds of pickups (output signal), strings (old strings), amount of detune, etc. |

Polyphonic pitch detection algorithms which would drive this have been floating around for a few years now.
Celemony's Melodyne software allows pitch correction of individual notes in a chord (autotune on steroids). Detecting 6 pitches simultaneously without trying to edit them is a lot simpler than this to do with a moderately powerful dsp chip. And getting the most out of dsp chips is what TC do best.
I've no doubt it works, the question is how much and will TC use 9v or stick to the 12v of their twin pedals :(

I was thinking of getting a TU-3 to replace my TU-12... but now I'm going to wait to see how rediculously priced this thing is. I have some TC pedals already and they are a pretty high quality affair... |

Hi all Maybe I am missing the point here but if the tuner is that accurate unless you have the perfect guitar that never drifts as well as %100 intonation wont this tell you tht you are allways out of tune?. If any one knows of such a guitar please let me know as I would like to buy one now. |
