On the Front-bottom left corner, that's some kind of old Magic eye tube. (Racer X might have seen these in his early Tech days).
they used to use these for tuning, or some kind of signal reference.
Beautiful to watch.
This unit reminds me or my old valve signal Generator/injector.
It is built exactly the same way, with a mezzanine platform for the valves.

In a strange way, it kind of reminds me of my old Pignose 7-100 amp,
