Hi there.
I have a few questions about how the DD-x pedals works. I'm not a guitarist, i'm just doing some experimental stuff. I'm looking for a simple pedal which would allow me to loop an input and overdub it.
Here is what I understood of DD-6. tell me if I'm wrong.
The HOLD mode allow me to set a delay of x milliseconds. I play, and when I press the pedal it records. When I release the pedal, the last x milliseconds are looped.
Now, I'm wondering : - can I play when the loop is running ? (i guess yes ...) - if I play and press the pedal while there is a loop running, will it overwrite on the old loop, or will it record the combination of the old and new loop ? (overdubbing) - if I have a loop and change the delay length while it runs, what will happen ? Will it move the start point of the loop, thus creating a kind of granular synthesis effect ?
Thanks for your attention, I hope someone here will have the answers ... can't wait to know if this pedal is *the one* or not.

I guess the RC-20 (or 50) can be used for this purpose as well. It will have much more time avaliable for overdubbing. |
