Now before anyone says "that's not a real guitar!"... actually it is. It's a 3/4 scale (about the same length as to the second fret on my tele)...

Yes, this is a Hannah Montana guitar. But the funny thing is it's made by Washburn and it plays very nice. I've been mucking around with it for a day now and I'm beginning to really like it. The tone isn't horrible, and to top it off I payed a mere AU$30 for it NEW plus $15 postage...(they retail here for something like AU$150).

I'm not going to sell my tele over this (who would?), but I'd definitely whip this baby out at gigs. It should contrast nicely with my guitarist's Gibbo Flying-V he keeps threatening to buy... Ha!

Hey man, don't poop on my parade! US$49.99 is about AU$65.00 (not including postage - that free thing is usually only to America - that's even if they do post to Australia at all, Amazon won't on many items...)

This is why guitar stuff can be so expensive in Australia (ie this guitar does actually retail at AU$150 here)... anyone who imports here can usually jack the price up because they have no competition. Being isolated sucks!

Is it difficult getting guitar gear in Germany? Surely not... Europe is a big market.

Hi natthu

There was one of these at a local CashConv. not to far from where I live.

Yes it's different.

Be careful though.
On the one I saw & played,
a few frets had some overhang & were not dressed to well, (edges of the neck - on both the top & bottom edges).
I would hate you to cut your fingers.

I didn't manage to play it into an amp,
but it sure did turn a lot of heads.

Regards Dr. Bob

Thanks for the warning Dr. Bob. Yeah, I have noticed the frets are a bit sharp... I might try filing them back a bit. As I am not really a Hannah Montana fan (or a Miley Cyrus fan) I might eventually have a go at stripping the paint back and re-spraying. I work next door to a crash repairers who don't mind painting small things up for me for free (very handy), unfortunately I don't get to pick the colour, I just have to see which cars they are re-spraying at the time. But for free, I'm not complaining!

It's certainly not a perfect guitar, but with a little work I think it could be pretty decent.

I like unusual gear so this fits in with my ethos quite well.

Sadly, I quite like those Hello Kitty guitars aswell. Even sadder, I really don't think I'm the demographic that they are aimed at....

Especially the pink one. However, more pickup combinations would be useful.

Nice guitar, pedalhead!

One of my latest additions: Ibanez RG550 in Galaxy Black built in Japan in 2000, plays like a dream and is just an awesome guitar with that Lo-Pro Edge trem and V8-S1-V7 pickups. It's just that i already have three RG550LTD's that i don't want to keep it.

Yeah, you'd really want to like the one sound it does. With just the one pick-up and absolutely no on-board tone control... I have played one in a shop and they are good for what they are (surprisingly better than I was expecting) ... but I think a bit over-priced

That looks awesome. I like the neck inlays... I don't like the price though. Yikes.

That's a sweet looking guitar you've bought yourself there (Creston?). It's got a great Jazzmaster/Jaguar retro look to it

Thanks Natthu, I was going to get a Fano, but then saw Crestons stuff. I put this together and there it is.

Heres a larger Hello kitty.
