Hi Everyone
This is my first post.. be gentle with me!
Does anyone have a "Touch Wah" version of the tw-1 (not T-Wah)? If yes, can anyone post a pic of the box? Thanks |

Hi DM-1 and welcome to the forum.
Here's a picture of the 3 different types of TW-1s.

Hi Bossarea
Thanks for the pics of the units..
I guess i wasnt clear.. I needed a pic of the box of the leftmost pedal. In essence, does the box say "touch wah" or "t-wah" on it.
Thanks!

Oh, the cardboard box. Misunderstood you there. Haven't ever seen one of those but my gut feeling says they say Touch Wah. |

| Is there any truth in the "rumour" i read somewhere that the very first T-wahs were actually labeled T-wah, but no one know what the hell T-wah was meant to be, so they quickly changed it to Touch Wah, then changed back to T-wah at some later point? |

that makes sense to me. i always thought that the goofy looking T-wah version (with T under W) was first then they switched to Touch then back to T.
but i think i was proven wrong on this once before. |

Don't think so. Visserman's Touch Wah has serial number 7300 and this should be from the first month of production. |

people here seem to be in awe of this pedal (saw one second hand in denmark st. london a few years ago but didn't pick it up) so is there any sound clips of it floating around? the clips of the FT-2 sound a little quacky. |

There's a great soundclip here: http://www.tonefrenzy.com/sound_files/boss-tw1-touchwah.mp3
Hard to describe, but to me the sound is like a rubber band, 'rubbery'? LOL, but that's how I think of it, and the clip reflects this. Rather than the 'linear' up-down wah sound of a crybaby wah.
I've never seen one with a box, but they must exist out there somewhere. I got mine for 30 recently, and after fixing a dodgy switch it works fine. One potshaft is bent, someone must have stood on it at one time, but it doesn't affect the operation. |

mine is serial number 8100 I know the Touch Wah was out before The T Wah, someone told you a bodgy RRV.
Boss where short on black in at the time they changed the name, hence the reason why they shortened it Also Japanese Cant say Touch as easy as T so they changed it for that reason too Now I am being silly |
