The really sad thing is that these pedals could be used for speculation and who knows, Boss pedals could be the next craze when it comes to collecting. This could make them totally unreachable for younger players who actually wanna use the pedals. There are collectors out there with more than 50 vintage guitars and some dont even know how to play one note on them!!

Serves me right for predicting that DD-2 prices won't go up. Don't think it will sell at that price though.

His description is taken from this site but by removing all line breaks it has become almost unreadable. Not the best sales trick in the book.

He's already dropped the prices ($10 on one, $20 on the other) since last night...

Has anyone else noticed the "gcrep" auctions on eBay? It's an interesting marketing strategy: usually a store will put a losing price on something just to get you into the store, so that they can make a better profit when you buy other stuff, as long as you're already there. Guitar Center profits by getting you into the store with a ridiculously high priced item, so that they can sell you something else (with a higher margin) that's cheaper...

Every auction I see from gcrep seems to be priced high. Is that what you mean? Or are you seeing some that look good? I usually see his high price and say, "Oh, THIS guy again."

Grace and peace,

Steve

They're all way overpriced in my book, too. I think that Guitar Center purposely gouges on their vintage sales to try to entice customers to buy new equipment instead (where the profit margins are undoubtedly higher).

I've yet to see them get a single bid on one of them, too. Almost as though there's some sort of a boycott in the community against their auctions. Or simply that the items are nowhere near worth the asking prices.
