theres a few funny things i noticed about these spammer dudes. they always have weird unpronounciable names, and their always from Indonesia or something. oh bad spelling, broken english and a total of 1 post too!! . i always wonder.. in the history of these "cheap cell phones and hair dryer" spammers, has anyone ever actually bought one? |

This spammer was a bit weird. I have no idea what he was advertising. The text was grammatically incomprehensible and didn't make any sense whatsoever. There was 2 links in the post, not gear or music related in any way.
When I edited the post it had only been read by 6 people so most people clicking it did it after I locked the thread. Special Thanks to Dr. Bob who e-mailed me directly when he first saw the thread.
The spammers still keep registering accounts. They often have weird names and often they doesn't disclose their country. They never enter a name in their profile at all.
I don't know if forum spamming has any effect at all but I've heard that one out of 2 million spam e-mails get a reply. That's probably enough for them to keep spamming. |

Hi Strato Not really, the companies that put all that glossy junk mail in our letter boxes, assume less than 2% hit rate - or buy rate, on their advertising.
For all those dead trees, that seem to grow out of my letter box, at least 3 times a week.
The spammer might have been looking to infect some more machines & turn them, into more of those Zombile Spam Mail Servers. or might have been phising for some other data, via a downloaded trogan, or stealthware.
Is your Machine Clean ??? (typically PC's & windoZZZ)
Regards Dr. Bob
