When ignorance of this nature rears its head I will ask questions like , can you open the unit up and tell me the colors on R6, R12 and R19. When looking at the circuit board components and the wires away from you is the 3rd wire from the right orange or yellow ?

You forgot to ask which composite of Bakelite or Fiber board the PCB is composed of?
Is the Wire Irradiated? And most most importantly are the transistors German (Ge) And what are they Doped with.
