I don't wish to be rude & condesending but.
These are standard explanations of Potentiometer values, used in every day electronics.
It seems that your electronics supplier is used to some other form of
value information.

I took the values directly off the Boss schematic.

The 1MC is a 1 Meg ohm pot (1 million ohms [1,000,000] ),
C specifies it as a Reverse Log taper,
get a Linear pot if they don't have a Rev. Log, the setting will be a little different.

Rev. Log means Reverse Logarithmic.
Log means Logarithmic.
Lin means Linear.

As for the 250KA pot,
that means a 250 thousand ohms pot (250,000 Ohms) ,
A specifies it as a Log pot or more commonly know as an AUDIO Taper pot.

I don't think I can be clearer than that, I hope this helps out your local electronics supplier.

Personally, I would change suppliers, to someone who understands electronics & electronics terminology.

I suggest you take the pedal with you, & show them the size & type of the part as well,
in in case they supply you with full sized 24mm diameter pots.

Regards Dr. Bob
