I'd start with cleaning the inputs and outputs and then try to see if it still works.

is this correct or not?

It's the same at my OD-2R and it works! I have also been surprised to see only one connection!

The ground connection is done through the pedal body. Those little spikey washers between the jack and pedal body are essential - they connect the "sleeve" of the jack to ground (the pedal case). It is done like that instead of with a ground wire in many cases to minimise ground-loops (hum).

ok i got the power LED to come on while probing....but it wouldnt stay on for long

as i was probing around where wires 10 - 14 are located it would go off and stay off maybe around a minute and then come back on after probing around where the wires from the LED go to the board

green and orange wires (that go to the LED)

then the LED would go off again and i would drag the probe across some random solder joints and it would come back on in a matter of seconds

drag across random solder joints again and the LED would go off

no popping noise (signal) as i was probing though

ok been probing around more and just witnessed that when i probed one leg of R7 and one leg of R10, the LED would go on and off

cant remember which was which R7 on R10 off or vice versa

so i deducted that those resistors have something to do with the LED

-----x R10

x
| R7

x shows which legs i probed when i noticed the LED went on and off
