Yes, you do.
I've had an 8 string bass for a while, and while it was fun to play around with, I also felt it limited my normal playing cause there's a lot of stuff you can't do on a 8 string like bending. It's also a bitch to play with all those double strings so I was lucky enough to trade for a nice Les Paul guitar.  |
