Hey all,
I was hoping someone on here might be able to shed some light on my problem.
I'm running a two head rig via A/B Y box and the guitar signal is being sent to both inputs on the amps. Also I'm using the FXs loop from both amps to run my Stereo Chorus and the DD-20.
Ok everything fine up to there? I've done this setup a few times before but now it's causing me problems.
When I have the DD-20 set to either SOS, Warp, Analog, Standard, Dual, Modulate, or Reverse everything works fine. I hear the delay from both amps at their respectable volumes (whatever the amp's volume is at the time)... Now the kicker. When I set the DD-20 to either Twist, Tape, Pan, or Smooth one amp plays the delay perfectly fine but the other amp will play the same delay tracking at about 3 times the volume of the first amp. So lets take the pan delay for example: Ping goes through amp 1, pong stupidly loud through amp 2, ping into amp 1 perfect, amp 2 the same as before.
Now I called Boss and asked them and they said it was normal ... really? When I had it working perfectly before, where I could use all the settings with no volume issues was that the abnormal?
Thanks for any suggestions,
Gary
PS whats the warranty on the DD-20? |

Welcome to the forum from ireland..... ..bummer.... i had a similar problem with my DD-3 in stereo as well except the dry signal was fine and the delayed one a was too low....balancing the volume on the amps didn't really work as i turn the effect on and off so i went back to running the CH-1 for the moment at the end in stereo... |

This is very strange... never had anything like this happen and I was running DD-3 then DD-7 and now DD-20.

Hello all!
Ya this situation has puzzled a few people in different forums. I'll go through and try everything again on Tuesday (band practice). Oh well, hopefully it's just a little gremlin inside the pedal who will go tired of screwing around with my pedal.
BTW Laurie, how do you like the DD-7? My other guitarist is considering it. |

I like the DD-7 a lot (used it for about 6 months), but since the DD-20 arrived the DD-7 has been in storage. For not much more money, the DD-20 is a much better pedal, if only or the display.

| DD-20 implements stereo differently depending on the mode used - SOS mode keeps L+R inputs totally separate, panning mode sums both inputs and processes it as a mono input: This could perhaps cause the problem if your loops send different signal levels. |
