http://www.bossarea.com/labels/labels.htm

The gallery now contains 37 different labels so I got completely confused when trying to sort this out. The previous label page didn't have any rule to determin if a label was version 9A or 10. This was decided ad hoc and wasn't at all helpful.

I've reorganized the labels and this time I've set up some rules for the numbering system. A label is only a new type if the label's text bullet points has changed or a new compliance logo has been added. Different country of origin, colour, adaptor preference or label size will result in a letter sub version.

I know there are still labels missing. Some of these might be unknown to us but some has been mentioned but I haven't found any pictures yet. Here's what I suspect we're missing.

Pink label without CE logo
Orange label with CE logo
Blue Made in Taiwan label with white text
Black label with 2 bullets points missing the header "Dry batter 9V type"
Silver label with recycling bin
Dark gray label without N225 logo

Special thanks to those who has contributed with label pictures.
Goran, pawnshop_trash, Astatine, Scrappy, vicix, m3_entity, Laurie and Dr.Bob

Hope I haven't missed anyone. The label page update was long overdue and I may have forgotten some updates you have told me about.

If Boss had only put all that effort creating different labels into a new pedal...

I've already made some changes. I found two of the missing labels in vicix post here: http://www.bossarea.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=5353

What ever happened to that spreadsheet/bar graph thing you made with label colors Bossarea? That could be a nice piece of information to put up in the label page.

Hey Bossarea, Nice work
But the pic in type 3a says Made in Taiwan, while your subscript reads Made in Japan.

Hi bossarea & guys

While I was looking over my little collection,
I found a Silver Label MIT - HM-3, but it's a little strange.

If you can imagine a silver label with a 2mm copper or gold colored boarder or edge. (maybe it's orange)

Has anyone else seen this?
The label is in tip top condition, & the copper boarder area is a consistent 2mm or so, all the way around.

Not like it was accidentally cleaned, or rubbed off by something that changed it's color.

Pics will be uploaded when I get a chance, & it's daylight, to capture the color of the boarder.

It would be interesting to know, if anyone else has one like this?

Regards Dr. Bob

I think it's somewhere in the FAQ section. I'm thinking of making a matrix instead that shows label types horizontally and pedals vertically. Then perhaps show what years the pedal was available with the different labels.

Whoops, thanks for notifying. Will fix that.
I rewrote most of the explanations but copy/pasted lots of text from the old captions. Looks like I didn't always read the text I copied...

Found out that the Dark gray label listed above doesn't exist so we can stop looking for it.
Also found another blue label in this auction. Unfortuanetly the photo quality is so bad that we'll have to find another picture for the label page.
