I am wanting to buy a df-2 again (i have had one twice already) I am wanting to use my amp distortion and use the feedbacker effect. I should be able to do this if i turn the distortion down to zeroon the pedal without any extra gain noise right? Also will i be able to use this effect at loud volumes with success? Thanks- Neaves
If I'd ever even held a DF-2, I would have given you a prompt and friendly reply! However, I know not the answer. Usually, even at ZERO, some gain is applied when the pedal is on.. I don't know if you'll be able to get one without the other.
Thanks for your responses guys. I think a little gain will be ok because i can cut back some amp gain to compensate for it so i really appreciate that tidbit. I figured with it on zero there would be zero Distortion but that's more overdrive territory right? My older brother had one when i was like 8 so that was is 87. I used to love to hold the pedal down just to hear the feedbacker effect pulsate he he :) I do think your right that your can't have one without the other because i contacted keeley about having one without the other meaning the feedbacker minus the distortion circuit. Great Pedal!!!! :)
You could try it, the distortion level when distortion setting is at or near zero on DF-2 is not like a clean boost. There is an amount of distortion. And the volume of the pedal can be a problem, there is not going to be much over unity. The sound of the feedback effect is the same whatever the distortion setting of the pedal. I would really have liked if the feedback effect could have been used without the pedal kicked in
