Don't know why, but I imagined Jack Black saying it |

I was thinking along the same lines but my thought concerned razors. First Gilette decided to use two blades. Then they added a third. Then they added a fourth.
What about making one with 15 right away.

Haha you're so right! Gilettes creativity department cant have a hard job.
"So guys, What are we going to do to improve the Gilette Mach 3?" ... ... "I have a brilliant idea! Lets add... ANOTHER BLADE!" "WOW" "You're a genius, have 100,000" |

Wow... Big razor... I believe the ABC's (Australian ABC not the American one) comedy skit show "The Late Show" started this with the 15 blade razor skit, or as they termed it "the most convoluted shavor yet".
It included blades that faked left, faked right, lifted the hair, others that distracted the hair, more yet which swooped in to apprehend the hair, others to complete the paperwork and one that was 'just there for the ride'. Funny Stuff. |

In Belgium, there was an ad for an electric razor. This ad featured a 'Quintippo' razor blade (as a joke). I guess they wanted to show that more blades don't make better razors. |

No! No, no, not 8! I said 7. Nobody's comin' up with 8. Who would use a line 8? Nobody, that's who. It's gotta be 7 man.
7's the key number here. Think about it. 7-Elevens. 7 dwarves. 7, man, that's the number. 7 chipmunks twirlin' on a branch, eatin' lots of sunflowers on my uncle's ranch. You know that old children's tale from the sea. It's like you're dreamin' about Gorgonzola cheese when it's clearly Brie time, baby. Step into my office. |
