To every one of our members, & those just visiting the forum.
Well with only just a little over (4) hours to go.
I would like to wish everyone a very
 HAPPY NEW YEAR for 2010
From Bossarea & Myself, (I'm sure Bossarea will pitch in with his personal best wishes a bit later).
Thanks to everyone for your contributions,
no matter how big or small, or how short or long your posts were.
A community like ours lives, breaths,
& grows by it's contributions from all its members.
And if your are just quietly reading & lurking in the background.
May I take this opportunity, to invite you all to come & join us.
Membership is free.
And most of us don't bite, unless the GAS gets really really bad. 
We would value your contributions as well.
If you have been here before, or for long enough,
you will have noticed, that we not only cover Boss pedals,
but many other brands, & lots of different types of gear,
basically anything to do with music, or worth talking about.
So once again sincere thanks to everyone, for makeing this the great place that it is,
& may it continue to be that way well into 2010 & beyond.
I'm sure there will be many new Boss & other brands of pedals,
& gear to talk, & GAS about on 2010.
On a personal note, I have to thank everyone who has helped me in the past year in the background,
not only with your tech support, but your emails during the late nights & early mornings.
And not forgetting the pictures of your home towns, forests, lakes, sunsets, snow, families, holiday spots & beaches.
And thanks mostly for your friendship.
And one extra special thanks to The_Doc (Kevin) for taking up the challenge, to do an international collaboration on (now OUR) Jazz track. -- Ice Cold Jazz ---

Anyway, those last days of the year make you look back.
Musical wise, I've done 14 gigs which is above average so that's nice.
Gearwise, I sold my Hartke amp and bought a Gallien Krueger 700RB, and finally sold the dodgy Marshall amp.
Boss pedalwise, I bought 3 and sold 2 and I had a very nice trade with dasBeef.
Enough chitchat, happy new year and let's make 2010 another good one.

We've still got a few hours of 2009 left here in the UK but it won't be long now until time....
Dr.Bob - it was great to work on 'Ice Cold Jazz' together and our second collaboration is taking shape. It won't be long now before we are jazzin' it up again in 2010
Reflecting on musical things in 2009 (good idea Dirk btw )
- one new guitar - my first ever semi, a Gibson ES335 - not used it live yet but a great guitar to relax with
- did the usual number of gigs and raised lots of cash for the childrens charities which are so important to me and the band
- our keyboard player left us to follow his own musical journey - good luck 'Swampy' - we miss you
- and the pedal collection continues to grow and is now completely out of control - which is good but I've set a limit for myself in 2010 - ha, ha no chance...GAS will always triumph
Here's to an excellent 2010 for all

Happy New Year Dr. Bob and everyone else in Boss Area!!
Had GAS bad this past year, bought/sold/modified/destroyed (by complete accident) many pedals.. The collection of pedals grew by 15 in 2009, and I'm sure it'll get bigger by the end of 2010.
 Played a few gigs, made some new friends, spent way to much money on music gear! Looking forward to do it all over again in 2010!

OK Guys & Gals
Here on the Australian East & Southern coasts.
It's now not only a new year - 2010.
But also the start of a new "Decade" as well.
Just a little something else to contemplate.

..Happy New Year to all on the forum.. i have a gig later so i won't be around for midnight GMT but i would like to wish you all a happy and peaceful new year.....
P.S...Dr Bob ..don't worry too much about the selmer i traced the problem down to a bad EF-86 preamp valve.......might even bring the old girl out on a few of the smaller gigs in the new year with my HZD booster....
P.P.S ..i will have a few of these for you all later.. |
