"DeFrag" http://gamefreaks.net/defrag/index.html I ran a Q2 & Q3 port, all custom maps only including a few that I made myself. Here's a link to one of my maps: http://gamefreaks.net/defrag/reviews/millennium.html Check the Top10 for others. I also created the best Combat Enhancement pack for Q2 ever.. I took ideas from the all the others. I haven't played in 12 months now & am starting to miss it. Before that, I played an average of 5hrs/day for 8 years & ranked 14th worldwide at CLQ. I think I played WOD a couple times but Lithium/Coliseum was my favorites not to mention Loki's CTF. |

I ran across this: http://www.sitepoint.com/article/web-site-optimization-steps
Pay particular attention to the 2nd page:
Configure DNS Lookups on Forums and Blogs
Since you should aim to have no more than four DNS lookups per page, it may be tricky to integrate third-party content such as Flickr images or ads that are hosted on a third-party server. Also, hotlinking images (by placing on your page an <img /> tag whose src attribute points to a file on another person's server) not only steals bandwidth from the other site, but also harms your own page's performance, causing an extra DNS lookup.
Just a thought since many people here rely upon Flickr etc.. to host their photos. |

I haven't noticed anything unusual. Anyone else having problems?
A while ago I noticed that the whole forum practically hangs if one user is using the search function. I've just removed search.asp to prevent that from happening. I'll replace it with a google search of the site later. |

Not sure how to do it at the moment so it will probably take some time. For the time being you can go to google and add site:bossarea.com at the end of your search string. |

Does this have nothing to do with it then? |

It will have an effect if there are lots of hotlinks but compared to other sites, this site has very few. Sites that have advertisements on them often hotlinks these in from everywhere. With advertisements on every page they will make an awful lot of DNS lookups. |

Hi highplainsdrifter
Welcome to the Forum from Australia
Regards Dr. Bob
Hey Dr Bob, I'm originally from Brisbane myself, But have been living in New Zealand for 2 years now. Been checking out bossarea for a few weeks now, came across it while googleing daphon pedals. I've just picked up the distortion and overdrive in the metal enclosures and have been searching for some mods to do. Been searching over at diystompboxes.com too, thats one cool site. anyhow this topics probably not the spot for that discussion, I may start a new thread when the pedals turn up and I start tinkering. cheers mike |

Hi highplainsdrifter Please start a new Thread. If it's the E10OD or the E20OD I know a few secrets about those, well the E10OD (plastic case one) at least.
