Anyone know how to put more gain on DS-1?

For more gain reduce the value of R13 and/or C4. If you don't want to change the cut-off frequency of the gain response you need to change C8 too. A rule of thumb is

C8 = 1/(453*R13_new_value) in Farads

For example:

if R13 = 470 then C8 = 4.7 uF
if R13 = 1k then C8 = 2.2 uF
if R13 = 2.2k then C8 = 1 uF

etc.

For C4 you can use 47 pF or 100 pF.

I was always a bit confused where the SEM mod stops.

Are the changes below part of SEM ?:

R39 20K
R14 1.5K

If you do everything... it's the "Ultra". Not sure either where things start and stop before that!
