hi guys,

I use an ACA adaptator and a daisy chain cable to power a CS-2 and a OD-2 and yesterday, I accidently plug it in my OD-20 and the ACA adaptator died, is it normal ? (I was afraid my pedals were damaged but no, only the adaptator).

According to the specs, OD-20 has a current draw of ~ 200 mA. The ACA can deliver ~ 250 mA but it struggles to deliver under maximum load.

Unfortunately, maybe your OD-20 overloaded the adaptor enough to kill it.

Possible, all I know is that it was instantaneous.

I thought I had more chance of damaging my pedals rather than the adaptor, I prefer that.

Thanks for your help, cctsim

Hi fabs & Guys

You could also check to see if the "primary" of the transformer has resistance, in case the primary winding failed.

Note: you won't be able to check the "secondary winding", unless you open the unit.

That's great to hear! From your post i understood you'd rather damage your pedals than the adapter? I certainly would not. rather buy a new adapter than have to fix 5 or so daisy chained pedals
