Hey all, I'm in the market for a wah pedal but I don't really know what's good and what's not.

Any thoughts from people about what their favourite wah pedal is? I posted it under non-boss area as I'm not a huge fan of the PW-10 so i assume there's something else out there!!!

i own lots of wahs and i keep coming back to the Dunlop Crybaby From Hell. its the one that Dimebag Darrell endorsed. and its not just for metal as the name kind of implies. it does excell in the heavier thick wah type stuff and it cuts through distortion like no other. but its the most versatile wah out there and you can even set it down to subtle "white room" type wah. plus its built like a brick shit house and weighs about 8 pounds.

the thing i really like about it is that you can set the resistance strength so that the harder you push your foot down, the more it resists. its very handy since im more of an agressive waher, and at times i would wah too hard and turn the effect switch off on lesser pedals. it even has a volume boost that you can kick on since wah is known to kill volume a bit when engaged.

i also recommend Snarling Dogs. theyre not built as well, but i love their tone. the sweep on em is MASSIVE

The Ibanez Weeping Demon is a great wah pedal. It has a few knobs & switches to dialin your tone but sports a limited sweep though.

Budda Wha - true bypass & sounds great.

Had a few Cry Babys and Vox reissues but the Budda Wha has been the best.

You know you made the right choice when the guys in your band stop and say hey that sounds so much better, what did you do??

hey that's a great tip!

As for your band, they must be very supportive! The people I play with just keep telling me to turn OFF my effects and turn the volume DOWN!

Thanks

I think thats fair to say but they still tell me to turn it down when the vol goes sky hi.

Joke:

How do you make a gtr player turn down?
Put charts in front of them!
