Isn't an EH-2 as subtle an effect box as a CS-3?
I mean, a few years ago I traded my MXR Dynacomp away because I was naive to how subtle its effect was on the sound. I'd sit there for hours timing a plucked string with the effect on/off to no avail. It didn't increase the sustain at all.
So I guess.. does the EH-2 really work? |

Depending on how you have it set it does, thats what takes awhile to get figured out is how to set it, and its basically one of those "set & forget" type pedals that you really don't notice initially, but then after playing a bit and you turn it off, you notice that its not there. Its a weird sort of effect in that it somehow makes my notes seem clearer while maintaining the same amount of crunch. What it does for me is that it takes my notes that are swimming in distortion, and sort of makes it so the notes are sort of riding on top of the distortion instead of swimming in it. I still get nice crunch on chords, but get a bit more clarity on single notes while using either the EH-2 or the BBE Sonic Stomp. |

Hi Jack Nice summary of the EH-2 ..
I usually tell people to play with it on, for at least 20 minutes, no less. The to turn it off. The usually comment I then get is "who threw the wet blanket over the speaker box".
from what I can see of the circuit, & I have only had a quick look at it, is that it. looks like some kind of fixed multi freq. equalizer-booster, for the higher frequencies.
As in a High Freq. Harmonic Enhancer. I haven't tried to figure out the other parts of the schematic.
In some ways a bit like the AC-2-3 Acoustic Simulators SP-1 They all perform some type of fixed or limited spectral enhancement or frequency manipulation.
I think I just gave myself a headache again...

Hi jack
Great bargain, did you snipe it, or didn't many people bid?
Regards Dr. Bob
Hi Doc! It was actually a combo of me and just one another bidder, which I sniped in the last 30 seconds after they outbid the previous lower bid I made with 4 hours remaning. I bid what I wanted to pay first, then sniped later with that I was willing to pay. |

I just wanted to say I got my BCB-30 today, and I definitely got a bargain on it due to the sellers bad shipping quote. I paid a total of $16.50 once shipping was included for my BCB-30, $12.50 for the BCB-30 plus $4 S&H for USPS Priority Mail. The package arrived today, and the shipping stated on the box was $14.10! So the Seller at best made $2.40 off the sale! I got one heck of a deal!
I think its all karma though, and what come around go around, because a few months back I got burned on 3 1-cent starting bid auctions I had and only one person bid on each item. I bit the bullet then, and someone else gets to now So be nice all the time, and hopefully you'll get rewarded some of the time, if not all the time |
