| Is it possible to buy the black plastic screws.. i just bought a very cheap CE-3 and it was'nt the orginal screw.. |

Yes, Roland usually have them in stock.
They often claim high prices for postage and packing so it might be worth getting a music store to order one for you instead. |

I've just ordered some screws, thumb screws and rubber grommets. Very cheap too (all less than AU$1 each) but I saved on shipping by combining.
BOSS (or Roland Corp) Australia are EXTREMELY helpful too! |

Roland Scandinavia is just great, very helpful. I was missing a manual for a PS-5 bought second hand, e-mailed them and they sent it for free. And I could go on...
But as Bossarea writes above, postage and packaging makes small orders quite expensive. Order via a musicstore when just one part is needed. |

Hi Stratman, did you order your stuff directly from Boss/Roland or did you go through a music shop? Just wondering how much it cost you for the parts and how much did they sting you for postage?

Here in the US, I bought screws at Lowe's that were (I believe) 3 x 10 mm. ...Or something like that... They're in the specialty screws trays and were very easy to locate. They're not black and they're slotted on the head, but they worked perfectly in my Boss pedal.

| Roland Canada has them, Long and McQuade tech shop has'em; umm. Roland Canada has a $15 minimum order so I would think of all the little doodads you could possible need from roland, like those nice BCB low-noise cables with the Grey Plastic barrell ends on them, pedal springs, maybe a few battery snaps etc. Replacement knobs (the ones that are on ebay DO NOT match Boss knobs - skirted knobs like on the DS-1 are 19mm around teh skirt and the grips are not tappered, the ones on eBay, are 20mm and the grip part is tapered to the top, and, they do not look quite right (but from 6 ft away you can't tell). AND the shaft hole is too big, so they look like they wobble when you adjust the pedal.) |
