Hi Everyone
I am building another A / B effects loop true bypass (gold plated low noise relays) switcher for someone and was thinking of building a run of a few, but wondered what people would want operationally from such a unit.
A unit I built before (see pic) operated like this - left footswitch toggled between either effects loop 01 or 02, right footswitch was used to bypass both loops.

The new version (artistic view attached) would have three different modes; Mode 1: left footswitch toggled between either effects loop 01 or 02, right footswitch was used to bypass both loops(both loops can't be on at the same time).
Mode 2: toggles - Left footswitch activates Loop01, right footswitch activates Loop02, no bypass available, either loop01 or loop02 on (both loops can't be on at the same time)
Mode 3: Left footswitch activates/bypasses Loop01, right footswitch activates/bypasses Loop02, (both loops CAN be on at the same time)

All opinions on operation gratefully received !!
Cheers

I think they're both beautiful! The only thing I would change, and it's minor. I'd take the nylon washers off the switches. They just seem to look cheap on an otherwise artwork. But hey, alot of the boutique guys seem to use 'em. |

I like the first version. On thing I've learned in my pedal building exploits is keep it straightforward.
How much would a "V1" pedal be? |

Hi Guys
Cheers for the advice. The V1 version would be 76 + postage.

Sign me up for one please
Any chance of a different colour? Black? (NO problem if not)
Hmmm... I have a request - would it be possible to get one with just "mode 3" enabled? Four options - not sure how you would make them foot-switchable?
- Loop1 - Loop2 - Loop1 + loop 2 (series) - bypass
(NO problem if not)

Hi Laurie
Black is no problem.
A unit set to mode03 only is no problem.
(the mode choices are designed to be selected when you integrate the unit into your system - by keeping left switch pressed and scrolling through the mode leds with the other switch, releasing the left switch when you get to the mode you want stores that mode, until you repeat the process, so that you can select a mode to best suit your own set up, they are not selectable "on the fly" so to speak)
I can pretty much make it do what you want, as its a firmware rather than a hardware change.
How does that sound?

Yep. Let me know when it's ready and we can figure out shipping, payment, barter, etc.
