Are the sound files all mp3s? Combine that with listening through PC speakers and it is not really a fair evaluation. That being said I seemed to prefer the R121 even through the cheaper pres and converters. I was actually planning on getting one of these eventually to compliment my SM57.

wow thats a damn good test. shows what a difference quality(cash) makes.
