Ok, so I got a 3rd OC-2...

My first is light brown, "Octaver", MIJ black label. Set screws on pots. It's from August 1982.

My second (the one I just got) is just the same, but with a brown really close to the later one. July 1983.

My 3rd is metallic brown, "Octave", MIJ Black Label. No set screws. August 1988.

So I got 3 differents version of MIJ Black label OC-2.

As usual, any additionnal infos would be welcome ! I was surprised to find this "almost metallic brown" "Octaver"...

Great pic. It shows perfectly how the colour changed.
Can I have the serial numbers of them? It would be intersting to see if we can find out when the name changed from Octaver to Octave.

Yep, that would be interesting.

From old to less old : 218300 / 325800 / 933417

Unfortunately, this permits to locate the main color change (light to dark brown) somewhere between mid 82 and mid 83, but the name change has still to be narrowed from mid 83 to mid 88...

Here's the serial numbers collected this far. The key dates are still not completely pinpointed but we're getting closer.

Is there any page where you could see a scheme like that ^^^^^^.. It could be fun to look at your own pedals bla bla.. is it possible? Or does it exist only for admin?

I have a big Excel sheet where I collect all serial numbers I come across. Initially I was only trying to figure out when the different labels were used so the sheet isn't well written.
I have sorted out the serial number information for the OC-2, BF-2 and TW-1 and pictures of these sheets can be found in different threads here. I will do the same for the other pedals as well but it's a bit of work so it won't happen all at once.

Will post some more details on the colours, think we have not talked about them in our earlier discussions about the OC-2.

I found a "Octaver" OC-2 with S/N 367300 (November 1983). It narrows the "R" change with a few months.

I may even buy it.
