This is my "P under S" PH-1R.
The factory has used an input jack for the output jack. It took me a couple of minutes to figure out why the jack wouldn't sit properly...
It is completely factory standard - never been resoldered (at either end). Notice the lead colour is green too (instead of the standard white). I guess they ran out of output jacks that day

Very observant Laurie... Nice find.
Should we now add pedals with substituted parts, to the hard to find collection?
Regards Dr. Bob |

This is the second one I've found recently: http://www.bossarea.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=6049
And a 3rd one was a 470R resistor in place of the 100R resistor as the "ACA" resistor (part of the resistor/diode combo in an ACA pedal). This was in a MIT CE-2 which wouldn't switch on a PSA adapter - not enough voltage to the flip-flop.

| Does that mean the output is no longer a switch for the power? IIRC, doesn't the ground switch terminal function as the power switch on a normal unit, but the input type jack lacks the switch terminal? (hope that makes sense...) |

Hey, mine's completely the same, it also has the switching stereo jack for output and the green wire. How old is yours Laurie? Mine's from oct '81. |

I'll check the serial when I get home tonight. Be interesting if they are very close. Interesting too if they aren't! |

Nah... works just fine. Switching is on the input jack, which is standard. |

116400.
This learns us that likely all PH-1r's and maybe some other pedals between July and October 1981 have this phenomenon. |

I know of at least 3 others that don't have it, so probably not...
