1st thanks to everyboyd for the replies to my previose post I have a DF2 and a Digitech GNX4 I would like to use both at the same time I would only use the Feedback option on the DF2 since my GNX4 has a DS2 effect included. My question is: where should I place the DF2 before or affetr the GNX. I have plans to buy a GE7 and I would place this as my very first pedal, but I don't have clear what to do with the DF2.

the DF2 will be in bypass most of the time and I would only use it fore feedback in very few ocasions.

thanks again.

i guess you'd run the DS-2 before the GNX but if you're using the dist on the GNX then you might get a lot of uncontrolled feedback using the 2 effects at the same time.

just try your DF-2 before the GNX4 then after it. whatever setup gives you the best feedback sound is the best setup..if im not mistaken, my DF-2 was best heard placed BEFORE my other distortions. try it out and see what happens

a rough guide to the order advised in an effects chain;

wah>compressor>overdrive>distortion>modulation>delay>reverb

but it really depends on what sound you want to make, sometimes putting things in the wrong place can drown out eachother, like putting a fuzz and a wah pedal the wrong way round could make it sound pretty nasty.

lol i know this had no direct relevance to the questions, but it involves ordering and can help anyone who needs it.

Thanks guys I have figured it out with your help, I have placed it in front of the GNX but turned the distortion down leaving the level at 75% and sit comes throug clear and still provides a nices feedback effect. at the other end it simpy stinks.
