Seems like most of Canada wants Obama. Probably mostly because of the healthcare platform, and anti-bush/republicanism.
When I was in Europe this summer, people were Obama-crazy. Especially Germany.
If McCain wins, the world loses out on a great chance to turn its opinion of the west around (a little?)

Here's my interpretation of something I read:
It's a shame that people who can really run a country, spend all their time collecting Boss pedals

Hi pedals 4 pv, Racer X, & Guys
This one will really have to be left to Bossarea.
I assume that the - No discussions about politics or religion rule, was put there to stop threads turning into flame wars, as I've seen happen on some of the other forums.
Apologies if this is not the resolution that you expected.
Regards Dr. Bob

I think avoiding politics and religion is a good thing on the forum to be honest guys as i wouldn't know enough about the US domestic situation to comment either way and i know in ireland both can be pretty contentious at the best of times...were still arguing amongst ourselves over stuff that happened 100+ years ago.... .....anyway i would rather argue with you over the merits of the CS-3 or the is chorus a dated effect?..?..... i ain't lettin' go of the bone on that subject...... ..... |

Discussing politics can sometimes turn into flame wars and that's why the topic is on the no-list. The US presidential election is however a major event and I'm sure some of you want to share your opinions. Judging by all forum members excellent record, I'm going to leave the discussion open for now but keep a close eye on it.
That means it's ok to write what you think about the topic but flaming anyone else for their views is strictly prohibited. |

I just got back from voting (took about an hour), but at least the line was very organized and efficient this year, to better handle the heavy turnout.
I don't think this forum will devolve into a bunch of flame wars... if people want that, there are plenty of political blogs out there. I'll just be glad when tomorrow gets here and our TV commercials are likewise politics-free, and are back to promoting ginsu steak knives and watered-down beer instead of thinly-veiled racism and outright lies. |

I have all the US election coverage, and STILL a channel that seems to only sell Bowflex!
Jon Stewart/Colbert @ 10pm should be great. They don't often do the live events. Well, this year they have.

I'm not too confident about the next few years in the US regardless of who is elected. The next president is going to have a tough time. They will be doing a lot of |

| Now that the results are in, I would just like to say that I hope that Obama can deliver the change that both the US & the world desparately need. |
