next friday I'll be going to boston for a month and might not be online for a while
I'm doing this berklee college 5 week program there and I'm trying not to sit on my ass as much as i did last year
But In my spare time I plan on scoping out the boston music stores in search for pedals. I'm having serious gas for this Ross Phaser down in brockton,MA (the problem is its 40 miles from boston)
Is there any music stores out there I can't find a lot of them |

best of luck in berklee.. ...i assume with berklee it's a music course..?? i always wanted to go because two of my heroes..pat metheny and jaco pastorius went there....but it wasn't possible back in the early 80's as i had only started at a trade.... if your going to find something like a ross phaser i can only imagine that somewhere that has so much going on musically will have lots of guitar shops or a healthy secondhand market going on....unless you have your heart set on a original,i think that BYOC do a kit for this model..i'm sure jack could fill you in with more info...... |

Here's a list of what the BYOC pedals are either clones of, or based off of: I think this covers most of them...
Mouse - ProCo RAT Shredder - Marshall Shred Master Vintage Fuzz - Fuzz Face Mk II Fuzz - Tonebender Large Beaver - EH Big Muff Pi Fuzz 250+ - DOD-250 & MXR Distortion + Octave Fuzz - Tychobrahe Octavia Analog Chorus - EH Small Clone Vibrato - Boss VB-2 Tremolo - Electronics Australia Phaser - MXR Phase 90 5 Knob Compressor - Ross Armstrong Twin - Armstrong Green Ringer & Orange Squeezer Wah - McCoy Envelope Filter - DOD 440 Triboost - Rangemaster, LPB-1 & Clean Boost Lazy Sprocket - Boss SG-1 Slow Gear
Please note that the BYOC Vibrato pedal (or VB-2 clone) is currently out of stock indefinitely at the moment as it is getting revamped. There is also a BOYC Flanger kit in the works, but is still in the process of research and development, and there is no set release date for that either, but some things to look forward to (and I'll make sure to let you all know when those come out). |

I was going to recommend Boston Guitar Works, but it looks like that's the Brockton shop with the Ross phaser that you are referring to. Daddy's Junky Music (daddys.com) is a chain of New England-area stores that sell musical gear, and they have a store in Boston. plus, if one of their other stores has something you like, they can ship it to the Boston store. I've mail-ordered a pedal from them in the past, and were happy with their service, so their service in-store should also be good. |
