I've noticed a few pedals that have an 'extra' out, like the CH-1/DD-6 pedals. For the DD-3, you get a sitar sound when you place a mono plug in the direct out. A sorta wet sound with the CH-1 with a mono plug in output B to nothing. Same with the PS-5. What other pedals have an 'extra' output that can be tricked into providing a different sound. Only seems to work witha mono plug. If you try to use a stereo plug(headphone adapter) the same effect isn't produced. Is there a way to convert a stereo plug to a mono plug. It would be easier to get a few headphone adapters instead of using good mono patch cords, or cut them up to double the efforts?
i've never been able to get that sitar thing to work on my DD-3. it just self oscillates uncontrollably. anyone else encounter this? i'm just using a patch lead in the direct out jack
the SYB ( oh noooooooo not him againnnnnnnnn........ ) : "dry" output and "synth" output, sometimes I use them : sequencing the SYB-3 synth sound with a drum machine / filtering the same drum machine (dry sound output) with the SYB-5 wave shape.

I actually recorded a song a few years back that ended up on one of my CDs using that trick. I remember finding the tip in one of Boss' little pocket manuals. It does self-oscillate if you go by their settings...I just backed down on the number of repeats until it wasn't oscillating out of control and it actually made a credible sitar simulation!
