Well, I'm 28 and saw all those beautiful pedals in stores long ago but I was into more 'spacey' things and bought a zoom 505 II when I was 21. I only played alone at home so it suited me fine. Before that I thought guitars where plugged into computers or something, which sometimes is not too far from the truth.

When I was 14... I didn't even play guitar, I thought keyboards were my thing

I just got a Vox Big Bad Wah, this thing is like the holy grail of Wah's to me. I'll write a more extensive review later and post some pictures tonight. It does come with a steep price tag but it's worth every penny.

Just realised this is the boss compact pedals section, appolagies!

Hi timbo
Congrats, the RV-2 is an Awesome pedal.
Which setting/s are you using?
And are you using it on your Bass or 6 string?

What sort of condition is it in? - Box-Manual-Orig. Power Supply?

Regards Dr. Bob

mm.. can't wait to see that RV-2. I really need to find one of those..

I don't usually get to post this much in this thread.. but I got a little birthday present today from my wife (a new mac was supposed to be everything)..

Now there are more triplets. The new one is in the middle - 9.5/10. It had no rubber grommet at all, so I gave it a new one.

The pic's not as nice as I would have liked. The colours in this aren't really representative of the actual colours - something about the distance and angle I was holding the flash at makes the letters overexpose and "bloom". The box for the middle pedal is much darker - closer to the pedal colour itself, than the box on the right. The one on the left is very gig-rashed, and has some weird thick silk-screen on the top edge: "Lewis Music London".

well on my second look (now in daylight) the pedal does have a few marks, but nothing major. no box or manual (i've personally never even seen one for sale with these)... not that i really miss them anyway. i really can not believe how quiet this thing is, its silent! it adds no noise what so ever and what it does produce is warm and luscious.

here's some pics! thats the settings ive been using for now, but all modes are very usable.

edit: "The unit with serial number 848786 was produced November 1987"

I think I'm becoming a "collector"... just paid extra to get a box and manual for this.

I'd normally wait for a broken one and fix it.....

ANY RV-2 is a nice RV-2

The box for these was wierd - because they don't have battery capability, they were sold with a PSA adapter in a big box that looks like the PSM-5 box (the PSM-5 came with a PSA also). I guess it was so big compared to other compact pedal boxes that people just threw it away instead of storing it.

yeah I found some beauties - and now I'm broke... it makes for a killer pedal board though (I need to think about a bigger board to fit all the rest on there)

Hi
How does the SP-1 sounds?
I heard a sound example on YouTube and it really sounded very weird...
Is it always that werid sound or can you get also more subtle effects with it?

I just got a nice condition CE-3, which I really like so far.
It's a little more subtle and less dark sounding then my CE-2b, which I like for guitar chorus.
It also sound good in combination with distortion.

I haven't tried it in stereo, cause I don't have a 2nd amp right here, but in mono you can also get a cool vibrato effect on mode II, that's really neat.

Unfortunately, some previous dumb owner tore up the label inside the cavity, so I have no way of determining the exact date, but it has the black type 3 label, MIJ so it's likely from '81 or '82.
