Subject kinda says it all.
I was looking at the Voodoo Lab Micro Vibe.
Anyone have any other suggestions? |

Hi,
the MicroVibe is great. although the noisefloor is said to be a bit higher than on Fulltone's Vibe unit (but then again it's half the price) - soundwise it's well a vibe and a really good one at that.
Danelectro has a very cheap Vibe unit in the new cool cat (?) series. TB and all ... might be worth it to check this one out.
cheers, mully

Thx for the replies.
I'm not so keen on the COSM fx, esp since my rig is pretty much on the analog side.
Are there sound clips on the boss site of the univibe effect? i'm always up to be proven wrong
Mully - I have heard that too but only when the usit is on like a swoosh when a flange is on....have you heard differently? |

yeah... it's like a flange swoosh... and a nice sounding swoosh at that.. it's True Bypass so there's no noise whatsoever when the unit is bypassed.
I actually HATE noise but the MicroVibe's noise is really acceptable
cheers, mully |

The Voodoo is very nice.
Other options include the Dunlop Uni-Vibe, or the more simple Rotovibe.
If it's rotary you're looking for, check out the Line6 Roto Machine too. |

I have the new Danelectro Cool Cat Vibe, I like it a lot, its better than the vibe in PW-10. This is really a cheap pedal, wont cost more than a couple of string packages. It is a bit noisy with single coils.

Thx everyone.
I did check out the sounds on the pw-10 okay but I think I may pass due to cosm-gun-shy-ness.
Goran how noisy is the Danelectro Cool Cat Vibe with SC's?
That's my concern depending on how cheap I go.
Danelectro makes some fun pedals but I worry about putting them in my rig b/c of noise, tone suck etc....
Would love your input on that. |

well the Danelectro stuff is TrueBypass as well so there will be no tone suck whatsoever.... switched on ALL univibes are tonesuckers... or let's say tone changers - it's not like using your typical clean phaser |

Howdy Zesty..... don't mean to be hard on someones bad luck but i reckon if you have a few quid to spare try to haggle for the real deal....i'm starting to see stuff locally not being sold and the prices starting to drop(i'm guessing something similar in your neck of the woods) so if your not in a big hurry you will probably pick one up soon enough at a decent price.... also heard the voodoo lab stuff is suposed to be good although i've no personal experience of them or their gear..... i've found youtube to be ok for demos of pedals and guitar related gear if your looking for sound clips......... |

*knock on wood* it isn't a hard times issue, just not sure if I'm going to be using it all that much and if it will stay on the board all that much. plus as you know I like the smaller pedal board footprint...one rotosphere and wha pedal takes up a good hunk of space as it is.
Hell I have an AF-9, AW-2, TW-1, Ft-2 all in the name of finding a specific sound I was looking for.
I could sell off a few but I feel like I never know when I might be in a studio and will want that one sound that pedal X will bring....or I'm just a pac rat
So to clarify, which one should I hold out for?
BTW did you ever pick up the bi-comp? |

Well if pedalsize is a concern my vote goes to the MicroVibe from VL
Do try it - if you can though... since it is a bit noisier compared to the fulltone one. The new MDV-2 seems pretty good and would be my choice if I didn't have the MicroVibe already. |

I didn't take analog mike up on the option yet Zesty....he said i don't need to queue up again for one if i want to go with the bi-comp at a later date....
What i was originally trying to say was you might be lucky and get a guy down on his luck selling off an original Uni-Vibe cheap or pick one up in a pawnbrokers etc........i've seen the prices on secondhand gear plummet since christmas and still doesn't seem to be moving looking at the local ads here in Dublin..as a mate of mine is so fond of saying "times like these ....cash is king".............. |
