Hi everybody, Im new here, great website and forum! I was wondering if anyone could clear something up for me.
Does the Ps-2 have a setting that is pitch shifting and delay combined? Or is it just a pitch shifter OR a delay. I have a chance to get one, and i'm not sure, does anyone have any demos of it in action? (Youtube revealed nothing I could find!) Thanks in advance!

Hi PunkFloyd and welcome to the forum.
The PS-2 has 6 modes where the 3 first are delay modes and the 3 last ptch shifter modes. Combining the modes are unfortunately not possible. Check out the manual available from http://media.rolandus.com/manuals/PS-2_OM.pdf |

Hi PunkFloyd
Welcome to the forum from another Aussie. Thanks for the kind words about the site/forum.
I Like your experimental music, "I of the Storm" is very peaceful. Tell us more about your music & gear.
I have a good listen tomorrow, after work, as you know it's very late here.
Do you also have a web page?
Regards Dr. Bob |

Cheers Dr. Bob! I'm stoked that you had a listen! Um... My gear.. to make that music I use mostly guitars and feedback, and a Roland Juno-6. For Boss Pedals i have an old MIJ dd-3, Rv-3 and a HM-2. I'm in love with the HM-2. I dont have a website proper. Just that myspace and the band I play in, if you fancy checking it out: www.myspace.com/regularjohnmusic Once again, Thanks for the friendly welcome!

I'm sure at least one of the pitchshift modes produces a delay that is progressively pitched up (or down) as the repeats fade - This is pretty much delay+PS combined. |

Hi PunkFloyd
Any chance you might allow download of your experimental tracks off your MySpace page?
I would like to listen to then on the iPod, while resting.
Perhaps you might like to listen to my experimental tracks? "Lynbrook" very experimental "Holding Alex", experimental, Hypnotically calming guitar piece. http://www.technical-services.com.au/DrBob/

Dr. Bob, i'll make those tracks downloadable for the next few days, let me know when you've got them. Your tracks are great, Especially Lynbrook. It sounds like lots of interesting effects are in force there..

Hi PunkFloyd Thanks, I'll go check your MySpace, & download them, now that I have your permission.
I'll let you in on a little secret. "Lynbrook" is only one, yes? Just one sound... And a few sleepless nights... but good ones.. I will be doing a 50-60 min version of it, in the near future.
Regards Dr. Bob
Just a quick heads up guys You have to be a member & logged in, to be able to download. |

Wow. I'm listening over your songs again, it seems it is the one sound! What did you use to make it? Great guitar playing on Holding Alex by the way. Do you play in a band?

Eric Idle's character Dirk McQuigley went on to found a band called The Punk Floyd after The Rutles broke up. |
