I was wondering if anyone knows what components I would need to change to get more treble, bass and gain out of my MT-2.
Or does anyone have any really cool mods that they have done to their MT-2 that they would like to share? |

Hi jcpt and welcome!
There are many mods available, with many different variations in tone. A bunch of them are discussed here:

The one I have come up with is MOSFET based and can be found here: www.lauriepedals.com (look for the link to the "stormchaser" mod) |

Have Tried some of the mods from:

I like the Keeley clarity mod and the midrange sifter. The Rest are not really my thing, but thanks anyway!
The problem is, most of the time I have the Treble, Bass and Gain on full. I would Like to get more out of it (I am wanting a really brutal MT-2 for some extreme metal!!!)
Any help for making my pedal more brutal would be greatly appreciated as I havent got the faintest idea I what to change!!! |

G'day! Well, everything I'm about to give you is experimental... so it may or may not work. You could try:
increase R44 to 470k and decrease C32 to 47p
increase R51 to 47k
increase R30 to 10k
increase R26 to 47k
increase R15 to 47k
Doing this will increase the gain massively. It will also increase the noise somewhat. I'd do these thengs one at a time and if it was taking it in the right direction keep going.

Thanks Laurie for the mods, They add a ton more gain to the pedal.
Its not as noisy as I thought it would be either.
The only problem is because, of the new mod there is no control over how much distortion you want. The knob no matter where you turn it, does nothing. I have checked over my new components and dont think there are any bad connections, I think its more to do with the new component values.
Anyone got any ideas for fixing distortion knob? |

Put R51 back to 1k.
THen try putting R44 back to 220k.
Should give you control back, but might not be enough gain. |
