I have recently aquired a boss RC-2 bit it's dead apart from an orange flashing light and no sound goes through it. Am I missing something? Also is it covered by Boss' 5 year guarantee even through I didn't buy it new but it's in mint condition with the box and manual?
I do think it's still under warranty, i just bought a defective DD-6 and emailed Boss/Roland on what to do with it as it was still covered under the 5 year warranty, i got mailed back and they told me to bring it to an authorized dealer for repair, so i went to my nearest dealer and gave the pedal, i didn't need a receit or something, they just send it to Roland/Boss for repairs no questions asked.
i really don't think that it will cover it if you are the second owner but i would try to pawn if off as i bought it myself.Now i mean if the orginal owner registered it. it might be a problem.But i would just play dumb
I wouldn't worry.. the pedal hasn't been out for 5 years, so all the RC-2 pedals in existence should still be covered, regardless of the original purchaser..
