Hi Guys,

I recently bought a second hand Boss BF-2. (btw: Made in Japan ..Green Label)
It has got a lot of damage to the paint.
So now I want to restore the paint. How do I do that? I doesn't matter if the pedal gets back in the original state or if it gets a other colour. What should I do?

Thanks

Remy

If you want it looking really good afterwards you have to take away the rubberpad, the pots, the jacks and everything. You have to free the footlatch from the rest of the pedal. Remove all the old paint, give it a light sanding and spray it with a colour of your like, an undercoat wont hurt. Let dry enough and assemble it again.
Another way (I would have choosen this) is to handpaint it with many colours like ZVex pedals are done, psychedelic, creative, done rather fast and very personal.

The Zvex idea sounds very nice to me

I'm going to look at the possibilities

There's always a possibility so be careful. There's no screws that hold anything as the 4 pots, the jacks, the 9V jack and the switch is enough to keep things where they're supposed to be. Just be careful when you remove these and make sure no wires comes loose and you should be fine.

Will you re-print the pedal's text too?

On this subject, maybe it would be cool to have a thread that has "customized" Boss pedals that we've repainted.

Anyone?
