Seems that one can never have enough of these crazy little critters.
Still, I will need to go out shopping for some more to follow the footsteps of Mr. StratoShere.

No I do not really want to play with 32plus pedals, but his ideas have me made experiment with a much larger set-up than what I was used to do. The result is that I now need more patchleads, and once you start on that road it seems that you cannot really have enough of them.

I think overal there are something like 30 patchleads around in my room. If they could only think of a pedalboard which would cover space for all that. You see, 2 thirds of my space is covered in pedals and leads, so how some of your can manage with a pedalboard is a surprise to me.

I have 13 pedals, a wah, & vol. I run about 18 9" patches & 4 18" which takes care of the tap-tempos & expressions, then 4 36" runs for the stereo outs back to the pedalboard. Its quite an organized mess. I do have power daisy-chaining in & around but haven't experienced hum or noise. The Monster cables do as their told.

I spent god-enough time perfecting the layout & choosing the shortest runs possible not to mention the proper angled connectors to make everything fit. All cables are all neatly folded & curved around each other & laying flat between all the pedals for a clean look & unfettered stompage. It takes me 5 or 10 minutes to reroute one as necessary during experiments but I'm happy with the setup & sound so its all pretty static now.

I usually run about 12-16 BOSS pedals on my board. I also have an OD/Boost (GristleKing) which is true-bypass and a true-bypass modded JH-1 Wah.

These two pedals sit before the board. The board itself, I've grouped the 12-16 pedals into 4 groups - with each group going through a separate true-bypass loop. I've built 4 of these true-bypass loops into my board along with a tuner out/mute switch and a master bypass switch (bypassed all loops and sends the signal straight to the amp). Works a treat, is silent and allows me to run many pedals without too much tone suck - unless I need to run 1 pedal from each group... then my signals going through all 12-16 pedals! But I tend to group them so I don't often need to do that.

I've been trying to upload a picture but so far have not had much luck. I will as soon as I can (in the thread where we post pics of our BOSS pedals)

Oh (and getting back ON TOPIC!) I'm using the George L cables. This way I'm able to cut them to the exact length which, in turn, keeps all the pedals on the board without having to velcro (!!!! on a vintage MIJ pedal - NEVER!) or screw them down. Makes for easy swapping too.

So, I have 8 patch leads for each send/return of the 4 loops and I use good quality "couplers" for the linking the pedals in each group.

Pic to come soon, I promise!!!
