Just fiddling with a latching relay debounce circuit. Has anyone done any measurement or modelling on the standard Boss flip-flop circuit? Specifically, does it exhibit "logic bounce" or does it do a clean transition from one state to the other? (based on some problems I'm having, I think it bounces)

Hi Laurie

Interesting topic.
I've never even thought about this issue.

Did your de-bounce circuit fix the problem?

Regards Dr. Bob

Haven't built the debounce circuit yet... Was trying to avoid it!

In a pedal, bounce wouldn't be an issue because the signal path switching FETS are all "soft" turn-on. The soft turn-on is longer than any conceivable bounce, so you'd never hear it.

It was rather generous of the individual to put this on the net. I have a few pedals that have trouble switching on and off. Hopefully I`ll figure it out after studying that article some more.

Thank you for your other posts on the DD pedals. I have two which I haven`t taken the time to fix yet but after reading your threads, I think its time I gave them a go.

Trouble switching is almost always dirty switch contacts. Take a look here: http://members.shaw.ca/lauriepedals/BossSwitchClean.pdf
