Hi Heart and Soul
This looks to be very powerful, Keep us informed of your progress, if you go ahead with it.
What platform will you be running it on?
There are many other finished & user friendly packages out there for making computer music. Was there something specific you wanted to do with it.
Discussions of music related software is Vast, May I suggest you look for a Magazine called "COMPUTER MUSIC" & "FUTURE MUSIC" get the British versions of the mags if you can. "Computer Music" will make your head spin for a while, there is so much out there.
Here in Oz they are best part of a $20 note. But come with a DVD of great stuff, every month.
If you can't locate one, go online to future publishing they have some articles online.
If you go to my profile, & then over to the link to my mates server, download 'Lynbrook.mp3". And you can listen to a little bit of what can be done, with some of the tools that are out there.
Not to mention on every months DVD, there are some musical tracks by people that buy the mags.
Yes Goran, I am working on more tracks, you will be the first to know, when they are up on the server, maybe even before.
Regards Dr. Bob

hey Dr. Bob,
i really just wanted to be able to make some sort of system for doing live improv. laptop performances using mostly guitar processing and focusing also on noise music elements also...cause i mean computers are just so much more powerful for processing [obviously] and can do a few things that pedals can't in some instances...
and i mean i'm really just interested in the idea of it...i just feel like i've exhausted every inch of my pedal collection as far as making noises goes and i'm trying to get more into Spectral Filtering and Granular Synthesis and things of that nature...which, i have plenty of plugins for and can record fine...but i want to have a live system of sorts really...
and yeah, i've seen Future Music and Computer Music at stores and read them when i can but don't really dig the idea of paying cash like that for mags...
i'm running an Intel Macbook 2.0ghz w/ 1gb ram... |
