Hi Heart and Soul

No - I was deadly serious.

I have experimented with loading small parts of a .JPG file into a synth generator program called (MetaSynth).
The results are unbelievable.

Embarrassingly, the more Adult the the content of the JPG.
the nicer the, the outputted synthesized tones.
I Guess this has to do with the subtle transitions of color in the skin tones

It's a great program, you should try and experiment with it.

That's why, I seriously thought that putting Word documents into Audacity, might have some interesting sonic palette possibilities.

Hi Heart and Soul

Well the idea was similar,
but the outputted & synthesized tones that I am experimenting with, are a lot more melodic, not just noise & blip.

I guess it's what you feed into it, and what you THINK/Believe you're trying to archive.
For me, it's the experimentation that is the key to the whole process.
And the way it generates new ideas, or leads you down a different track.
Yes sometimes it can be a real time waster as well.

My sounds, are more in the Ambient-Synth arena, not so jarring.

In some ways a bit like my Soundscape track, just called "Lynbrook".

Thanks for the link.
I did listen to the 3 sample tracks.
Did you get to hear the whole album?

It was interesting to read that they had experimented with inputting adult content pictures as well.
I might have to read the associated articles, on these guys.

For those wondering, No! Lynbrook was not produced using this method.

Regards Dr. Bob

that's cool and understandable as far as wanting something more musical...

and yes i have the whole record i've given it a go over and i liked it enough but it's not a standout or anything...sometimes stuff so blatantly academic is just a bit much...

*cough cough http://deletedscenesforgottendreams.blogspot.com/2007/08/haswell-hecker-blackest-ever-black.html cough cough*

try it yourself...you'll appreciate clean tone better...
