I've tried the MT-2 and MD-2, i ended up buying the MD-2 and it was my main distortion for nearly 2 years untill I converted to blackstar. I found the MD2 much warmer than the MT2

Totally agree. The MD-2 sounds warmer and fuller. There's something about the MT-2 though. There's a sound I can coax out of it that sounds so nasal, and processed......it's amazing. It's the opposite of what I usually go for, but when I riff it up, I like it. I find that sometimes the MD-2's sound is so fat I almost loose the pitch of the chord or note I'm playing. But I do still like both pedals. I have also been keeping an eye on eBay for an HT-DIST. I've missed a couple that I should have bought. Will need a new pedal board to house the blackstar, and other over size, different powered pedals.

If your combining metal effects with a Gibson Hollowbody, who know's what strange sounds you may create!

I found a fair bit of difference between my start and my 35. Many pedals suited one, but not the other. The 345 took a bit of warming to the MT-2, whereas the strat was straight in there.

I think I've a few years on yourself (Radioheading) and Ollie. I think your 21, and Ollie's 14. By the time you hit my age (I'll be 31 this year) I think you'll have about as much gear. Remember I didn't have forums like this when I was your guys age. Christ, I didn't even have a mobile phone, and didn't even know anyone who did!

Dasbeef, I wonder if you actually play them all or some are just collector's items, some look too valuable to gig them out. I always wanted to switch guitars while playing as I love the impact it has on the audience... Well, at least on me! I really can't explain it. If our band books more venues in the future maybe I'll get myself a decent tele and take it along my metal-looking Ibanez and decide upon songs (the latter just doesn't sounds/looks right in our 'Otherside' cover )

Hi SurfGreenTele

Welcome to the forum from Australia.
Nice gear & setup.
A very close friend of mine has a 69 Tele in a similar but worn color.

That's interesting coax you have used on your cables?

Regards Dr. Bob

Mobile phones....!..i grew up with only B&W TV with 4 channels..i remember the first person in our area to get a VCR ..a ferguson where the cassette went in the top like an old tape recorder..and when you wanted to make a phone call you had to use the public phonebox up at the gate of the flats.....yep like DasBeef i have 10 guitars,3 amps and a heap of pedals and some rack and recording gear and bought and sold more stuff than i can remember over the years...
