Hi all

I have a Korg PMX-40 with a stereo flanger.. when this flanger is engaged it immediately starts to make an extremly loud high pitch feedback sound.. it dosn't matter how the pots are set - just this squaling when engaged

Anybody has any ide how to troubleshot this kind of thing? Looking at the PCB nothing springs to mind..

Cheers

Hi Vim Fuego

While I don't know this Korg unit.
i can't even find a reference to in on the web,
All I get is Sennheiser headphones with the same model number...

If it's a multiFX - perform a factory reset on it
In case someone set it up incorrectly.

If it's a single effect:
I would check-look around the Resonance pot & circuitry.
Most Flangers will self oscillate if the Res control is set high,
or if the pot has failed in some way.

Maybe post up some pics for us to have a look at.

Regards Dr. Bob
