If you have dissassembled a DC-2, I'd be VERY interested to hear how the switch unit comes out.
Seems to me that the face-plate needs to be removed to get at the screw heads, but in the DC-2 it is glued down because there are no pot nuts to hold it.

Please post a pic or two, so the rest of us can see. I for one don't have a DC-2.
If you do have to remove the face-plate (escutcheon) A lot of the glues used by Boss-Roland are contact type cement, and can be eased off carefully if heated gently with a heat gun, or hair dryer.
