The specials will probably become an "available version"... called the "HZD Boost-AB"
In the HZD Boost-AB, the HZD circuitry is always connected (there is no way to bypass it), and a second output jack (a "B" output) is added where the battery goes (so external power only) and the switch switches between the original output and the "B" output... so essentially what you have is an HZD pedal and an A-B pedal combined into one box.

Nope. It is not a clone of the FA-1, it is a "tribute" to the FA-1 concept using modern components. Please take a look here for more info:

THe HZD Boost and FA-1 are "very close" in an A-B test. Everyone who I've done the test with prefers the HZD Boost because it is a little rounder and a little more musical.
I do have one last FA-1 clone made with NOS HA1457W and 2SK246-GR components available for sale if you are interested.

Thanks! I can't take the credit though... it was one of my local muso mates who suggested it. He uses two pedal chains running into two channels of his black-face amp and he didn't want to clutter up his board with the HZD Boost and an A-B pedal.
He never turns his HZD Boost off (can't live without it!) so it made sense to build it all into one pedal.

Got mine in the post and used it for the first time last night....all i can say is wow...  ... thing little box rocks..you want to hear what it does in conjunction with my tube overdrive pedal with a bit of delay from one of my DD-3's real joe bonamassa/eric johnson territory......
Q what do Dave Gilmour and Franzoni have in common.....?

DELIVERY UPDATE: just had word from the box supplier that the delivery will happen in "2 to 3 weeks".
I'd say we're looking at end of March for the first HZD pedals with the new screen printing to roll off the line.
