I finally got a DD-20 yesterday (Feb 5th, 2010) that was bought on Jan 29th at Sam Ash in NY! I went to www.bossus.com/backstage for registering it and in order to get an extended warranty. The product is registered but I didnt get any e-mail from them. Is it normal? I know that when u register a product at HP for exemplo u have a extended warranty to be printed. How does it work in case of Boss? How can I prove that I have an extended warranty in case of any defects?

Tks guys!
Good question. I never registered anything. Which, now that I think about it, is funny because I probably have 30 or more Boss pedals.
The idea of an extended warranty on a Boss pedal sounds pretty funny to me... probably all profit for the company. I haven't dealt with any of the twin pedals, but there are plenty of Boss stompboxes from the 1970s that are still running fine.
I remember I registered my TD-6 drums to get an extra year's warranty but now that you mention it, I don't think I got any proof of it. I don't think I ever got a letter or anything back so if it breaks I will jsut have to hope Roland has my serial number details.

the Roland supplier for each country should know what serial have been sold to legit Roland dealers.. I'm sure any extended warranty info would be attached to that number (or at least be cross-referencable)
