Hi guys,
After years of foolin' around with compact pedals I bought myself a Boss SE-70. I wan't to use this unit before my guitar pre-amp for filter, phaser and compression effects, but I'm wondering.
Is it ok to plug my guitar directly in the SE-70?
I've checked out the VF-1 as well and that unit has a special dedicated guitar input wich the SE-70 not has.

Best way, of course, is to try it and I will but first I need a powersupply for it wich is quite difficult.
So all help is welcome, good idea to plug my guitar directly in the SE-70 or not?

Hi Willemdaguide & Guys

See if you can download a manual for it.
That way you would heave the information you need.

I repaired one many years ago, but don't remember too much about it's specs.

The quick Specs, say it builds on the SE-50's functionality.
So perhaps it does have a low level - High Imp. Guitar input?

Regards Dr. Bob

I've plugged the guitar directly into the SE-50 without problems. It's more targeted towards vocal processing or clean sound instruments but it does have some settings specifically made for guitar so that must mean it's ok to plug it in directly.

Thanks for your answers!
The SE-70 doesn't have a hi-Z input, but I use a buffer before the SE-70 (musicomlab EFX MKII) so I guess it should be ok.
The manual doesn't mention anything about it.
Still searching for a 220v power supply. I got myself the US (110v) version. unfortunally this doens't mean it works half (say only left in&output)
