Well he's made over $2000 selling them in the last few months if you check his feedback
We may snigger at how ridiculous it looks but obviously there is a market for this sort of stuff and the guys doing fairly nicely from it and fair play to him to be honest- that sort of 'electronic art' is a very very risky business and he's doing really well from it it seems.....
Yeah totally..... I mean with stuff like that really you'd have to understand exactly what it does to be able to get any use of it and i wouldn't have a clue with that its just a bit insane-
I know some stuff like that is very popular with the 'techno' crowd though....
I really don't care for the sound that I've so far from the links have heard. What can you really do with that type of sound anyways? Maybe Sonic Youth could use it for a background track on some of their songs....Ref:
I've had some circuit bent gear before and I still have an old Casio sampling keyboard that's been bent... It's great fun to mess around with but ultimately I've found it's pretty useless for making music. It's basically an expensive toy.
The act of messing with a piece of gear in order to bend it is also great fun. You can make some gear make all sorts of wierd noises and glitches... finding good bends is all part of the fun. It's just not fun trying to write music with that stuff...
