I've used many different ones over the years by many different manufacturers, not one of them works as well as the PSA adaptor for powering compact pedals. The Diago one may be good, but its a lot of money (never tried one myself but a lot of people here love them!)
I've used power supplies that are even EXACTLY the same rating as the Boss one too and STILL certain pedals don't work or have noise issues- particularly the late MIJ ones can be problematic I find.
Even the best alternative I've found doesn't work on 100% on all pedals without issue.
The p0wer6ank has a reputation for being quite noisy though oobujoobu-
Try your pedals on battery power just as a test and see if its any better.........
Well, I use the Thomann cheap power brick and it really works for me. I own a late MIJ DS-2 and no issues about noise or anything. For 37 Euro is the best you can find, IMO. Anyway is rather big so I'm saving to buy a dunlop powerbrick in the future, I hope it's good too. |

Yeah thats probably because its a Euro spec power brick that is isolated from the ground by having only 2 pins on the plug
What works in Europe rarely works for us in the UK, our electrical systems are totally different- audio equipment HAS to be isolated from the earth over here; this is why the earth pin on the Boss PSU is made of plastic................. |

I didn't have a clue about that! In fact I always wondered why you had three pins on your plugs... |

A lot of stuff is isolated from earth here as well.
It's marked with this sign:

And uses these smaller plugs that will fit right in a normal AC outlet.

So, to give you an example, this is what the back on a PSA adaptor looks like over here:

The Diago Powerstation has arrived today, and....wow, the horrible noise that I had permanently in the background has pretty much disappeared! I guess the old powerbank was the big problem then.
Another big benefit is it's freed up a bit of space on the pedal board that looks just about the same size as a Boss pedal! Might just have to fill that space.... |

Well I'm gigging on Saturday so once I've got my Marshall cranked up and hooked up to the PA I should know for definite whether I still have reason to buy an NS-2.
If not, then I don't know, it will probably be based around a need arising from a new song that requires a specific sound that I can't currently create. |
