Ouch. I guess that it depends on how badly you want or need dimensioning, as it's pretty much the only game in town (apart from a rack-mounted Dimension D). I think that I paid about $160 or so for mine a couple of years ago. Should at least hold its value down the road.
Easily the quietest delay pedal I've ever heard, though. Sort of like AC/DC, in the sense of pretty much only being able to do one thing, but does it really, really well.

As far as rare effects go, dimensioning is unique on its own

Actually ive basically no idea how the dc-2 sounds,just thought of collecting a rare pedal
