And boy, you didn't waste any time.
Tell us a bit more about the methods you used, to transfer the image, & etch the PCB?
I know a lot of the guys here will be interested.
Please keep us up to date with your build.
I hope you don't mind:
Your picture is now part of the forums pics, I did this, because every so often.
I go back & look at old posts, & the files on some of the image sharing/hosting sites, seem to get deleted or removed.
So all get to see is a stupid placeholder.

About posting picture on forum, it is great idea.
Methods that I use to make PCB is very simple:
1. Print PCB artwork on laser printer using glossy paper.
2. Measure width and length of printed PCB and then draw it (using pencil) on the copper side of forthcoming PCB.
3. Cut PCB from laminate and clean it using sand paper, cif and wash-up liquid (don't touch copper after the PCB is washed) and dry PCB.
4. Iron printed PCB on laminate.
5. After ironing put PCB into cold water for 15-20 minutes.
6. Remove paper and any leavings (don't scratch the toner instead).
7. Put PCB into etching liquid (I am using Na2S2O8). (Moderator - Sodiumpersulfate Na2S2O8)
8. After etching take out PCB and clean it using NITRO and wash-up liquid. |

Thanks for your PM.
I don't have the PCB artwork for the GE-7.
It is actually cheaper to get a Behriger EQ700
http://behringer.com/EQ700/index.cfm?lang=ENG
and rebuild it into a better case & use better pots.
It is much quieter than most GE-7's, as it uses TLO72 SMD FET opamps.
And it's a direct copy of the GE-7, other than for the better op-amps.
I have a couple of the EQ700's, that I got as part of a bulk buy of pedals, & I use them as a backup. or when I need a second EQ to experiment with.

This might help you out with your search for the artwork for a GE-7?
There is a really PCB copper side picture of a MIT GE-7 posted by " plautz" here on the internal thread:

But be aware, that the GE-7 has a sub PCB for the slide pots.
I play mostly original stuff, and many different styles, it even scares me sometimes.

| No, he didn't reply me yet. I am playing mainly David Gilmour style because I love Pink Floyd. And I need CE-3 and GE-7 for Gilmour tone. I'll be building pedalboard like David's. |
